I had the pleasure of meeting renowned historian and author Russell Shorto at the Netherlands Ambassador's residence, where he spoke about his new book, Taking Manhattan. He kindly signed copies that I purchased, one for me and one for my brother George who introduced me to this author's works, as well as my 2004 copy of Island at the Center of the World, which I took with me.
